Abstract:The genera Uraria Desv. and Christia Moench are sister genera belonging to the tribe Desmodieae (Fabaceae), and most species are used as important medicinal or ornamental plants. Evolutionary patterns and intergeneric delimitation of these genera have long been controversial.
