Higher education, as the continuation and culmination of the formal education process, has a role and responsibility to optimize character building based on the nation’s philosophy, namely Pancasila. Indonesia today is far from Pancasila’s hopes. This article explored the landscape of internalizing the nation’s philosophical values through exposure to concepts, practices, and challenges at UIN Ar-Raniry. This research used qualitative methods with a naturalistic approach carried out at Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The sample in this study was taken using a non-probability sampling technique. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using triangulation techniques. The data were analyzed using inductive analysis techniques with an interactive qualitative approach, comprising data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that the process of internalizing the nation’s philosophical values at UIN Ar-Raniry was integrated with the tri-dharma of higher education. The values that were built included fundamental, instrumental, and practical values, which were crystallized into five basic character values: religion, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity. Additionally, the university strengthened character through religious moderation activities, Ma’had al-Jami’ah, and other activities supporting student character building, as evidenced by certificates that were integrated with the academic system through a Diploma Accompanying Certificate, also known as SKPI.

In 2024 Indonesia will again hold General Elections. This national political succession has become a magnet for all Indonesian people to talk about it in conversations in various public spaces. Interestingly, the public discussion of each candidate who advances in the general election is inseparable from the religious and ethnic background that will determine the people's choice of a candidate. The problem that arises is that religious and ethnic issues tend to cause hostility among potential supporters. This study aims to analyze how identity politics, especially religion and ethnicity, influences people's choice of a candidate. This research uses qualitative methods with phenomenological and ethnographic approaches. Sources of data are taken from various communication theories, mass psychology, political communication theory, and results of analysis of various previous research results that examine these issues and problems in different contexts and issues. All the findings in this study will be discussed in an interesting way and based on phenomena that occur in society.

Indonesia is a plural country that is rich in diversity both in terms of ethnicity, religion, race and group. Diversity has many influences, such as gaps that can cause conflicts between groups or are caused by differences in culture and background between groups in society. So that character cultivation is needed to provide understanding and strengthen the spirit of nationalism in students. The spirit of nationalism is a sense of pride and love for the homeland so that it is able to appreciate and appreciate the differences that exist in society. This research uses a literature study with a systematic review where data collection comes from textbooks, journals, scientific articles, and other literature reviews that are in accordance with the research study. The results of this study aim to show that the implementation of multicultural education is able to strengthen the nation's identity through the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students in the Globalization Era for elementary school students.Keywords: Project on Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila, Multicultural Education, NationalismAbstrak: Indonesia adalah negara majemuk yang kaya akan keanekaragaman baik dari segi suku, agama, ras dan golongan. Keragaman memiliki banyak pengaruh, seperti kesenjangan yang dapat menimbulkan konflik antar kelompok atau disebabkan oleh perbedaan budaya dan latar belakang antar kelompok dalam masyarakat. Sehingga penanaman karakter sangat diperlukan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan memperkuat jiwa nasionalisme pada siswa. Semangat nasionalisme adalah rasa bangga dan cinta tanah air sehingga mampu menghargai dan menghargai perbedaan yang ada dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka dengan tinjauan sistematis dimana pengumpulan data berasal dari buku teks, jurnal, artikel ilmiah, dan kajian pustaka lain yang sesuai dengan kajian penelitian.
