Kelayakan Integrasi Penanaman Nilai Karakter Siswa dalam Pengembangan Buku Pedoman di Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of integrating the inculcation of character values in manuals in elementary schools. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) approach of the Borg & Gall model in which there were ten steps simplified into three steps, namely (1) preliminary study, (2) product development, (3) testing and dissemination. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and observation. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students at SDN Gewok. The validity of the data was obtained through construct validity using expert judgment by 2 education experts, analysis using the Aiken index. Based on the results of the due diligence assessment using Aiken's V which was carried out for each indicator, the average score was 0.87, a high coefficient for each indicator in the integration of instilling student character values in elementary school manuals. This shows that the integration of instilling student character values in the handbook that has been developed produces a very high level of validity. The conclusion is that the integrated product of instilling student character values in the developed guidebook is categorized as very suitable for use, so that the guidebook can be a supplement in instilling student character values in elementary schools. It is suggested that this guidebook needs to be tested on a wider scale in order to get a higher feasibility value for implementing the integrated product of instilling student character values in the guidebook.
