Abstract:Cutaneous mixed tumor or chondroid syringoma is a rare benign, skin appendageal tumor prevalent in areas of the head and neck. It represents the cutaneous counterpart of the pleomorphic adenoma of salivary glands. Its clinical presentation often misguides the clinician to underdiagnose it as a reactive lesion. We report the case of a 94-year-old male admitted for excision of cutaneous carcinoma concurrently with a chondroid syringoma of the pinna provisionally misdiagnosed as a keloid.
