Based on 2021 World Health Organization (WHO) data, as many as 250,715,502 positive Covid-19 confirmed cases, the death rate of Covid-19 sufferers is 5,062,106 (COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force, 2020). The increase in the number of people suffering from Covid-19 proves that Covid-19 spreads easily and quickly (World Health Organization, 2021). The Covid-19 virus attacks all ages, including vulnerable groups, one of which is pregnant women. During the Covid-19 pandemic, health services must continue to run optimally and be safe for patients and midwives with various adjustments based on Covid-19 handling guidelines or health protocols. Implementing antenatal classes during pregnancy and the role of the midwife or health worker is essential in identifying pregnant women class participants who will attend antenatal classes during pregnancy, including in the preparation phase. The objective is to systematically map research conducted in this field and identify the role of midwives in implementing class services for pregnant women during the pandemic. The method used is Prisma Flowchart (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyses) to describe the literature search flow. The article search uses four databases (Google Scholar, Pubmed, Wiley, and Science Direct).

Because pregnant women must frequent health institutions to monitor their pregnancy, they are more prone to catching COVID 19. As a result, adherence to pregnant women’s behavior in preventing COVID 19 is critical. The elements that influence pregnant women’s behavior in terms of COVID 19 prevention are examined in this study. This research is a cross-sectional descriptive analytic non-experimental study. The incidental sampling approach was used to collect samples (n=102). The Chi square test and logistic regression were used to evaluate the data. The findings revealed that COVID 19 preventative behavior was influenced by knowledge, attitudes, fear of COVID 19, and belief in COVID 19 information. Following the completion of the logistic regression test, COVID 19 knowledge was found to be the most influential variable in COVID 19 preventative behavior (p = 0.000). When compared to those with good information, those with less understanding have a 16,101 times higher risk of misbehaving in preventing COVID 19 (Exp(B) 16,101).

To keep the service running and safe for patients and midwives, various adjustments relevant to the prevention of Covid-19 using information technology-based health services as innovative solutions for telemedicine, online consultations, Int Jou of PHE  425 and media applications for IEC (Education Intervention Consultation) are applied [7]. The midwife or health worker is responsible for identifying participants in the class for pregnant women who will participate in the antenatal class, including in the preparation stage for implementation [10].…”

The maternity class service is a class for pregnant women aimed at educating expecting parents so that they can undergo a healthy pregnancy and delivery process. This study examines the role of midwives in implementing class services for pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach. Based on the theme, it can be figured out that there are 5 midwives as human resources. All midwives have followed training for pregnant women and have worked with nutritionists, psychiatrists, and doctors. Midwives' roles and responsibilities include providing information on pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and newborn care. The course for expectant mothers is implemented online, and the timing is irregular during the pandemic period; it is only carried out once a week, so there are obstacles in the implementation of the class for pregnant women, that is the delivery process. The midwives should also help delivery process while being the admin of the Bidan Rindu application. Therefore, the provision of information through the application does not run optimally. Overall, midwives' responsibilities in the pregnant women's class program, specifically as presenters and facilitators, are appropriate for implementing services for pregnant women
