“…In cases of hypertrophic lichen planus, pathogenetic mechanisms, such as chronic inflammation, chronic corticosteroid therapy and chronic mechanical trauma, had been considered 4 . In our opinion, sun exposure and trauma may play a part in the pathologic mechanism concerning the neck site of pseudoxanthoma elasticum with the subsequent tumour formation.…”
