Hafiz Teachers are important asset of Institution of Quranic Studies. The ‘Liqa’ Maqari' Programme is one of the platforms in the efforts of the Islamic Education Division (BPI) in Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) in addressing the issue of quality of Quran teachers. This survey study aims to identify the level of effectiveness of the ‘Liqa' Maqari' Programme on the quality of memorization of MITS’s Hafiz teachers. Based on quantitative field research held, the result shows that the program has succeeded in improving the level of memorization quality of MITS’s Tahfiz teachers. In addition, the quality of memorization can help increase the level of application to MITS students. Those in charge need to take due care to strengthen its implementation and subsequently benefit other Institutions of Quranic Studies.

Abstrak
Guru tahfiz merupakan aset penting dalam sesebuah Institusi Pengajian al-Quran. Program Liqa’ Maqari’ merupakan salah satu wadah dalam usaha Bahagian Pendidikan Islam (BPI), Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) menangani isu kualiti guru al-Quran. Kajian tinjauan ini bertujuan mengenalpasti tahap keberkesanan Program Liqa’ Maqari’ terhadap kualiti hafazan guru al-Quran Maahad Integrasi Tahfiz di seluruh Negeri Selangor. Berdasarkan penyelidikan lapangan berbentuk kuantitatif, hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa program ini berjaya meningkatkan tahap kualiti hafazan guru tahfiz MITS. Di samping itu, kualiti hafazan tersebut dapat membantu meningkatkan tahap pengaplikasiannya terhadap pelajar MITS. Pihak yang berkewajipan perlu mengambil perhatian sewajarnya bagi memperkasakan terhadap pelaksanaannya dan seterusnya dimanfaati Institusi-Institusi Pengajian al-Quran yang lain.
