Key technology trends analysis of TFT-LCD

The evolution of 3D display technology as we know it has been a long time coming. In particular, 《 Avatar》, the first 3D movie, became popular worldwide in 2009, and then, opened up a whole new world of 3D display. 3D display is not an independent technology system. From content creation, storage and transmission to the final display in front of the end consumers, 3D display not only relies on but also benefits from the iterative development and innovative breakthroughs of many basic links in the information industry. This paper focuses on the development status of naked eye 3D display. The overall industry is still in a dilemma. For the 3D market, many users are still expecting more content, while content providers need to rely on better 3D terminals, and terminal brand manufacturers are still waiting for more market demand space to start new projects. Before the arrival of a better tomorrow, we should calmly face the current market challenges today and beyond. In the future, companies that can lead the way need to work together to promote the prosperity and development of the entire 3D display industry.

P‐188: Analysis and improvement of TV product slapping bright spot defects

In order to improve "slapping bright spot" defect that frequently occurs in the client of TV products, this paper clarified that the defect is different from the dropping red spot caused by PS shift. It is an irregular tiny vacuum bubble caused by incomplete filling of liquid crystal (LC) due to poor wetting on PI surface. With the help of effective simulation and characterization techniques, the defect can be completely eliminated through process or OC material optimization. The follow‐up can still continue to conduct in‐depth research from OC material system and LC material monomer, which gives clear direction and reference basis for new products.

P‐12.10: A Film Combination to Enhance the Transmittance and Improve the Color Shift of LCD

We fabricated a film combination which has a high transmittance in the perpendicular angle and no color shift in different viewing angles. We optimized the TFT film combination by using TFCal which is a film simulation software, and finally got a better film combination. There is destructive interference or constructive interference between the interfaces of composite films composed of different refractive index materials in TFT. This interference brings different transmittance and reflectivity for different wavelengths, which will change with the viewing angle, thus affecting the final display effect of TFT‐LCD, which is mainly reflected in the influence on transmittance and color shift. The ILD film thickness of 5500 Å & 4600 Å & 5950 Å have been verified in practice. The result shows that when ILD thickness is 5950Å, both of the color shift values of white picture and black picture are good, and the transmittance is high as well.
