“…The easy encapsulation with SiO 2 significantly enhances the biological environment stability of PNCs due to the efficient isolation of PNCs from the biological environment. The biological environment stability of the PNCs-based probe can be further increased by coating the obtained CsPbBr 3 /CsPbBr 5 @SiO 2 with polyethylene glycol hexadecyl ether (Brij58), an excellent inert excipient playing important roles in stabilizing proteins and nanomaterials. The prepared CsPbBr 3 /CsPb 2 Br 5 @SiO 2 –Brij58 probes not only maintain strong fluorescence and excellent water stability but also exhibit excellent biological environment stability and have been successfully applied in the imaging of cells, such as HeLa cells (Figure B). It is envisioned that the CsPbBr 3 /CsPb 2 Br 5 @SiO 2 –Brij58 nanoprobes prepared by an easy, fast, and green method would have promising applications in biosensing and bioimaging.…”
