Abstract:We present three dynamically and thermally stable polymorphs of CN 2 , which we identify through a systematic, multistep, and comprehensive structure search. They consist of nitrogen-rich structural motifs and modestly large pores. Kinetic stability is examined through long-term molecular dynamical simulations at an elevated temperature, where the interatomic interactions are treated using a new machine learning potential. Using density functional theory, we demonstrate their structural and electronic properti… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
