There are lots of gaseous pollutants in the flue gas from energy material burning, which could be oxidized by OH radical. The experimental investigation on OH (A2+ X2 ) emission in a corona radical shower system was reported in this work. OH distribution and production in the system were investigated under different additional gases. Depending on the selection of Ar or O2 as the additional gas, OH (A) radical generation was observed to be significantly enhanced or suppressed, respectively, in terms of emission intensity, and H2O content in the additional gas could effect OH generation obviously.
