Abstract:Background: Infections, including bacterial pathogens, have been implicated in Alzheimer disease (AD) risk. Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) is a common hospital-acquired pathogen associated with significant inflammation, which may contribute to neurodegeneration.
