Abstract: Introductory paragraphOverexpression of the longevity gene Klotho prolongs, while its knockout shortens lifespan and impairs cognition via altered fibroblast growth factor signaling that perturbs myelination and synapse formation; however, comprehensive analysis of Klotho’s knockout consequences on mammalian brain transcriptomics is lacking.
