Knowledge management: a study with managers in the oil, gas and biofuels sector

Abstract

This study sought to analyze how managers in the oil, gas and biofuels sector perceive the importance of managerial practices of knowledge management. The research is evidenced as a study of a descriptive nature, with a quantitative approach to the data, and anchored from the adoption of the research technique of the survey type. To operationalize the research, the scale of the seven dimensions of knowledge management developed by Terra (2005) was adopted. The results showed that managers perceive the importance of the theme in the context of the study sector. Finally, future research can focus on developing an assessment model for competitive advantage that can be applied to other organizations.
