Knowledge sharing and theory of planned behavior: a bibliometric analysis

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this study is to review the role of knowledge-sharing and its association with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). TPB is the most used theory in understanding knowledge-sharing behavior in many contexts. Design/methodology/approach Based on the bibliometric approach, this study extracted and analyzed 229 journal articles on the Web of Science. In addition, two analyses (bibliographic coupling and co-word) were performed to provide science mapping in presenting the knowledge structur… Show more

“…The bibliometric approach is a quantitative method utilizing the bibliographic database to aid researchers in understanding the knowledge structure based on science mapping (Donthu et al ., 2021). The method introduces a measure of objectivity in scientific literature by aggregating the opinions of scholars in the field, which helps to reduce bias (Zupic and Čater, 2015; Fauzi et al ., 2023). The bibliometric approach will complement the existing qualitative systematic literature review and the quantitative meta-analysis to review scientific literature.…”

“…There are many studies exploring the fundamental of TPB in respective fields, such as tourism and hospitality (Ulker-Demire and Ciftci, 2020), knowledge management (Nguyen et al. , 2019; Fauzi et al. , 2023a), and food safety (Lin and Roberts, 2020).…”

“…It explores the determinants of proenvironmental behavior and empirically proposes to influence these predictors to improve people's pro-environmental behavior. There are many studies exploring the fundamental of TPB in respective fields, such as tourism and hospitality (Ulker-Demire and Ciftci, 2020), knowledge management (Nguyen et al, 2019;Fauzi et al, 2023a), and food safety (Lin and Roberts, 2020). TPB noted that individual behavior is guided by beliefs about the potential outcome of the behavior and evaluation of past outcomes, leading to positive or negative attitudes toward the behavior (Vesely and Kl€ ockner, 2018).…”

“…These areas include user behavior on KSSM, the utility and advantages of social media platforms and tools, as well as other overlooked issues. Scholars have conducted bibliometric analyses on knowledge sharing, including Fauzi et al (2023) and PM et al (2019). Additionally, various studies have explored associated subjects, such as knowledge management (Fauzi, 2023;Gaviria-Marin et al, 2019;Noor et al, 2020;Shashi et al, 2021), knowledge syntheses (Maggio et al, 2021;Perrier et al, 2016), knowledge structure (Peng et al, 2020), knowledge development (Johnson and Samakovlis, 2019), and knowledge hiding (Di Vaio et al, 2021).…”
