Abstract:Unknown factors regulate mitochondrial U-insertion/deletion (U-indel) RNA editing in procyclic-form (PCF) and bloodstream-form (BSF) trypanosomes. This editing is directed by anti-sense gRNAs, creates canonical protein-encoding mRNAs, and may developmentally control respiration.
