Kroppen og fantasiene om denDet allmenne ved transkjønn The body and the fantasies about itThe commonality of transgender Agnes Bolsø Professor, Institutt for tverrfaglige kulturstudier, NTNU agnes.bolso@ntnu.no Sammendrag I artikkelen analyseres intervjuer med personer som kan identifisere seg som transpersoner. Alle informantene som blir sitert i artikkelen, har på et tidspunkt vurdert medisinsk korrigering av kroppen. De er bevisste om hvilken fysisk kropp de har og ikke minst hva den kunne vaert i stedet. Det er dette spennet mellom kroppen og fantasien om kroppen artikkelen analyserer, gjennom intervjuer om sex og seksualitet. Problemsstillingen er: Hva sier informantene om sin kropp, og hva gjør de kroppen til på det mentale plan og i seksuelle fantasier? Argumentet er at det ikke er noen prinsipiell forskjell mellom transpersoner og andre når det gjelder mulige spenninger mellom ideene om egen kropp, og den faktiske kroppen. AbstractInterviews with transgender individuals are analyzed in this article. All the informants quoted in the text have at one point considered medical corrections of their body. The informants are conscious of what kind of body they have and how they might imagine it different. In the article, the interstice between the actual body and the fantasy about the body is analyzed, through interviews about sex and sexuality. The analytic question is: What do the informants say about their bodies, and what do they make of the body; mentally, in the imaginary and in sexual fantasies? Concerning the possible tensions between ideas about one's body and the body itself, the argument is that the differences between cis-gendered and transgendered individuals are of no principal character.
