Abstract:Background:Due to their connection to inflammation and oxidative stress, tryptophan metabolites via the kynurenine pathway (KP) relate to important aspects of the pathophysiology of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and type 2 diabetes (T2D).
