Objective: The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the perception of the quality of the educational service and transversal competencies in university students from the Andean region of Peru.
Theoretical Framework: The study is based on the Tuning theory and the Servperf pattern.
Method: The methodology used was quantitative, the study data collection was carried out through geolocation, the sample was made up of 263 university students from an Andean region of Peru.
Results and Conclusions: The results show that quality was perceived by 5.7% as never before; 18.3% almost never, 43.3% sometimes, 27.8% almost always and 4.9% always and with respect to transversal skills it was revealed that 5.7% have never developed them ; 38.4% occasionally, 35.7% almost always and 20.2% always. Therefore, it is contextualized that the quality of university education transcends the excellence of the teacher in which transversal skills are integrated, strengthening the comprehensive development of university students.
Research Implications: In the end it is intended to reaffirm that the basic quality conditions remain intact and unchanged since the license was obtained at said university and allows immediate attention for its relicensing.
Originality/Value: The research makes a comprehensive and innovative contribution to self-assessment and reference within the university apparatus and even more so when transversal competencies are emphasized, especially in Andean regions.
