Abstract: Antecedentes y Objetivos: La subtribu Plucheinae es un grupo escasamente representado en México y por ello no debería presentar problemas taxonómicos. Sin embargo, esto no es así, pues se han confundido taxones con hábitos de crecimiento contrastantes como Pluchea carolinensis y P. odorata.
