Abstract

The Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR heartily congratulate the collectives of operators, constructors, erectors, designers, machine builders, and all participants in the construction of the 50th Anniversary of the USSR Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric plant on the occasion of the successful putting into operation of this the world's largest hydroelectric plant, which reached within a short period the design level of electric energy production, with an output of 20 billion kwh per year. and significantly exceeding this important index.It is to be noted with great satisfaction that the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric plant builders overfulfilled the socialist commitments adopted for the year 1973, completed ahead of schedule the plan for production of electric energy, and supplied an additional 2 billion kwh to the Unified Power System of Siberia before the end of the year. This was possible because the constructors, erectors, designers, and machine builders ensured with their selfless labor high-quality construction and erection work and wide application of progressive engineering solutions in the creation of this remarkable hydroelectric plant and its unique equipment.
