Abstract: Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) is often observed in immunocompromised individuals. However, when pulmonary MAC infection occurs in immunocompetent individuals, particularly elderly females, characteristically involving the middle lobe and lingula lobe of the lung, it is known as Lady Windermere syndrome (LWS).
