“…These techniques allow the capture of instantaneous jet flow fields and turbulent statistics in a 2D plane, typically at moderate spatial resolutions. To date, there have only been a limited number of studies investigating these high subsonic jet flows with three-dimensional (3D) or volumetric measurement techniques and only one (Sellappan et al, 2020) reported thus far with Lagrangian particle tracking (LPT), which can generally provide higher spatial resolution than typical PIV methods (Kähler et al, 2012a;Schröder et al, 2015).
