Presented are the results from investigating the periglacial zone of the Munku-Sardyk massif in Eastern Sayan. Dendrochronometry data are used in analyzing the cyclicity of natural processes that manifests itself in increment in trees growing in extreme conditions. The analysis revealed secular and intrasecular cycles. A correlation of increments in larch and Siberian stone pine with changes in summer temperatures (the correlation coefficients 0.56 and 0.48, respectively) is observed. For the period of observation of the Peretolchin glacier , the stages of its retreat (1900-1965 and 1983-2000) and advance (1965)(1966)(1967)(1968)(1969)(1970)(1971)(1972)(1973)(1974)(1975)(1976)(1977)(1978)(1979)(1980)(1981)(1982)(1983) were revealed, which influenced the changes in increment in trees and the degree of accumulation of bottom sediments in the proglacial Lake Ekhoi. A comparison of the character of growth of a "fossil" tree in the Holocene optimum with present-day long-lived trees shows a higher sensitivity of the ancient tree (the coefficient 0.43) and a lower sensitivity in present-day trees (0.32 for larch, and 0.26 for Siberian stone pine). Thermochronometry data were used to determine a decrease in air temperature with height in June (an optimal month for increments in trees) by 0.468 °C/100 m.

A concepção geossistêmica foi engendrada no corpo teórico e metodológico da Geografi a Física a partir do canal de comunicação eslavo, e os desdobramentos para as regionalizações físico-geográfi cas e estudos de detalhe focados em aspectos dinâmicos foram seminais. A partir deste aporte teórico-metodológico, o presente artigo discute relações entre o sistema geomorfológico e os geossistemas no maciço alcalino do Itatiaia (SP/MG/RJ), enfatizando a infl uência do relevo na interpretação, classifi cação e mapeamento. Foram interpretadas integridades espaciais a partir dos níveis topológicos, sendo adotados os grupos de fácies como unidade de mapeamento na escala de 1/50.000, agrupando-se em duas classes de fácies que tipifi cam o topogeócoro dado pelo maciço alcalino. A gênese tectônica do relevo, pautada em intrusão sienítica cretáceo- Keywords:Geosystems; Alkaline Massif of Itatiaia; groups of facies. paleocena e nos pulsos tectônicos posteriores defi niram um sistema geomorfológico morfometricamente caracterizado por vertentes íngremes e dissecação profunda, com intensa lateralidade em seus fl uxos de matéria e energia. Sua compreensão demanda a articulação entre os aspectos evolutivos fundamentais que infl uenciaram a gênese deste indivíduo geográfi co e o enfoque dinâmico compatível com as escalas de semidetalhe. Abstract:The geosystemic conception was engendered on the theoretical and methodological body of Physical Geography from the Slavic communication channel and the deployment to the physical-geographic regionalization and detail studies aimed in dynamic aspects were seminal. From this theoreticalmethodological contribution the present article discusses relationships between the geomorphological system and the geosystems in the alkaline massif of Itatiaia (SP/MG/RJ) emphasizing the infl uence of the relief in the interpretation, classifi cation and mapping. Spatial integrities were interpreted from the topological levels adopting the groups of facies as unity of mapping in the scale of 1/50.000 grouping
