Abstract:Experimental measurements of steady-state discharge parameters are performed in a Cs–Ba tacitron equipped with Langmuir probes. Measured quantities include electron temperature, plasma density, and plasma potential, in both the emitter-grid and grid-collector regions. The effects of Cs pressure and electrode arrangements on the measured parameters are investigated. Measurements indicate that the electron energy distribution function in the emitter-grid gap is Maxwellian, and that there is an electron beam in t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
