Laparoscopic-Guided Vaginal Excision of Posterior-Lateral Vaginal Fibroid

Abstract: Background: Leiomyomas are benign mesenchymal tumors that tend to develop in the uterus but there are extrauterine occurences as well, such as in the vaginal wall. Case: A 35-year old woman had a history of pelvic and vaginal pain, accompanied by a sensation of a mass in her vagina. Examination revealed that she did indeed have such a mass, and laparoscopic excision was planned to relieve her pain.
