“…Our search of MEDLINE and PubMed showed one article reporting a laparoscopically treated case of ectopic pregnancy occurring in the remnant portion of the tube after adnexectomy. 5 Unfortunately, because there were no figures showing the evidence of such situation and pathological findings in that paper, the precise condition of the ectopic pregnancy is difficult to evaluate. Therefore, this is the first report to show complete sets of laparoscopic findings and histopathological findings of spontaneously occurring remnant tube pregnancy after ipsilateral adnexectomy in the published work.…”

“…Ectopic pregnancy occurring in the isthmic portion of the remnant tube after ipsilateral adnexectomy is assumed to be even rare especially in cases of spontaneous pregnancy. Unfortunately, because there were no figures showing the evidence of such situation and pathological findings in that paper, the precise condition of the ectopic pregnancy is difficult to evaluate.…”

“…Transperitoneal migration of the gamete resulting in a rudimentary uterine horn pregnancy is a rare but well‐known event. A recent case report in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology 2 discussed the occurrence of an ectopic pregnancy in a blind tubal remnant as a result of intrauterine transmigration of the zygote from the other normal tube. We would like to bring to the attention of the authors that the first reported case of a patient with a non‐communicating rudimentary uterine horn, where a spontaneous conception occurred as a result of transperitoneal gamete migration from the opposite tube, was published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1998 3 .…”
