Large pseudoscalar Yukawa couplings in the complex 2HDM

Abstract: Abstract:We start by presenting the current status of a complex flavour conserving twoHiggs doublet model. We will focus on some very interesting scenarios where unexpectedly the light Higgs couplings to leptons and to b-quarks can have a large pseudoscalar component with a vanishing scalar component. Predictions for the allowed parameter space at end of the next run with a total collected luminosity of 300 f b −1 and 3000 f b −1 are also discussed. These scenarios are not excluded by present data and most pro… Show more

“…The possible combinations of Yukawa couplings of the Higgs bosons to up-type quarks, down-type quarks or charged leptons are classified as type I, type II, lepton-specific and flipped and are defined in table 1. The resulting couplings of the fermions normalised to the SM couplings can be found in [69]. In this work we focus on real 2HDMs of type I and type II.…”

“…Our study is primarily motivated by the need to learn as much as possible in a model-independent way about the recently discovered Higgs, including its CP properties (for recent discussions of CP violation in the Higgs sector in the context of the Two-Higgs Doublet Model see refs. [24][25][26][27][28]). Moreover, CPV in the Higgs sector might have implications for weak scale baryogenesis in a number of scenarios beyond the SM (BSM).…”

“…The key point we want to make is that only the doublet (T, B) model can offer non-zero (unsuppressed) CP violation for the Higgs boson, through the Yukawa coupling to third generation quarks 3 . To see this, we write the Yukawa sector of this model,…”

“…2 We find that introducing any number of singlet T L,R and/or B L,R fields does not give rise to new CP violating phases since any potential new phases can always be rotated away by a field redefinition. 3 We assume only one representation of VLQs is present. …”
