Abstract: The subtropical to subpolar planktic foraminifera Globigerina bulloides is a calcifying marine protist, and one of the dominant foraminiferal species of the Nordic Seas. Previously, the relative abundance and shell geochemistry of fossil G. bulloides have been studied for palaeoceanographic reconstructions.
