Abstract:We report the case of a 27-year-old woman with a large mediastinal teratoma presenting with vague abdominal pain and diarrhea; she was erroneously suspected of having coeliac disease. This is the first such presentation of a mediastinal teratoma. We describe the endoscopic and radiologic presentation, the surgical management, and histologic characteristics.
