Abstract:Introduction: Although laryngeal abscess is a rare disease in this day when antibiotics and vaccines are widely available, it can be fatal in terms of choking risk due to airway narrowing and thus requires an immediate diagnosis and treatment, including airway management. Even in the field of oral surgery, where nasogastric tubes are often used for nutritional management, there have been no reports of laryngeal abscesses.
