Nanoparticles of gold with zinc oxide (Au@ZnO NPs) were prepared by laser ablation and then capped with curcumin nanoparticles (Cur-Au@ZnO NPs). The synthesized NPs were characterized using different techniques, including transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-visible spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. In addition, the ability of NPs as a promising antibacterial agent was tested against Staphylococcus aureus through the agar well diffusion method and AO/EtBr staining assay. The results showed that the prepared nanoparticles (Cur-Au@ZnO) served as an antibacterial agent and can destroy the bacterial cells by losing the cell wall integrity and penetrating the cytoplasmic membrane. Moreover, the findings confirmed the role of the formed NPs in attenuation of the adherence and invasion of S. aureus to rat embryonic fibroblast (REF) cells. Furthermore, the activity of Cur-Au@ZnO NPs against the S. aureus α-hemolysin toxin was evaluated using the western blot technique, using human alveolar epithelial cells (A549), and through histopathology examination in a mouse model. In conclusion, the built Cur-Au@ZnO NPs can be used as a potential antibacterial agent and an inhibitor of α-hemolysin toxin secreted by S. aureus. These NPs may offer a new strategy in combating pathogen infections and in the future for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications.

In this research, electron coefficients such as total collision frequency (colt/N), total ionization frequency (viz/N), and Power (P/N) for different gases such as (Ar, He, N2 and O2 (in Earth’s ionosphere have been calculated by applying the Boltzmann equation utilizing BOLSIG +, and it has been discovered that there is a significant impact of reducing the electric field (E/N) on electronic coefficients under which (E/N) increases. In addition, influence of (E/N) on electronic coefficients was studied. Reducing the electric field was chosen in the restricted range (1-100) Td, and the electronic coefficients for gases in the limited range (50-2000) km of the Earth's ionosphere. A positive correlation has been explained between all the plasma electronic coefficients and (E/N) for the four gases. It was found that He gas has higher electronic coefficients than other gases in the Earth's ionosphere because they have lower electron binding energy.

Spinel ferrites are attaining huge importance in the modern era, due to their incredible properties, which means they are widely used in various fields. Therefore, in this paper a costeffective and environmentally friendly preparation of 𝑀𝑔 0.25 𝑁𝑖 0.25 𝐶𝑢 0.5−𝑥 𝐶𝑜 𝑥 𝐹𝑒 1.97 𝐿𝑎 0.03 𝑂 4 (x = 0.0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.375, and 0.5) ferrites via the sol-gel auto-combustion method were carried out. How the structural and functional properties varied with the Cu to Co ratio was studied. It was found that the crystallite size (D) was reduced from 47.2 to 27.6 nm as the Co 2+ increased from x = 0.0 to 0.5. While the two major absorption bands including the higher frequency band (υ1) and lower frequency band (υ2) lie in the range of 573.80 -538.65 cm -1 and 470.37 -405.65 cm -1 belong to the spinel matrix. Five active Raman modes were found in the range of wave number 200 -800 cm -1 corresponds to the sublattices of the spinel structure.The optical bandgap increased from 0.85 eV to 1.33 eV for x = 0.0 to x = 0.25 and then observed optical band gap was 1.15 eV and 1.46 eV for x = 0.375 to x = 0.5. The resistivity (ρ) was minimum for Co 2+ concentration x = 0.25 at low temperature, while at high temperature the resistivity (ρ) was maximum for Co 2+ doping x = 0.25. The temperature coefficient of resistance percentage (TCR %) was −2.66%/K at 513 K for x = 0.25, as shown in the graphical abstract.At lower frequencies, the impedance was observed maximum for Co 2+ doping x = 0.125 and minimum for x = 0.375. These findings indicate that the as-prepared ferrites are a potential candidate for optoelectrical and bolometric devices.
