Laser-diode-driven high-luminance white light source with sediment phosphors and optimal opto-thermal performance

Abstract: High-luminance light sources are challenging to achieve with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) due to power droop. Since laser diodes (LDs) do not suffer from power droop, they can be used as an alternative. A novel, to the best of our knowledge, high-luminance white light source was developed utilizing LDs combined with a sediment silicone/phosphor composite.
