Laser-synthesized plasmonic HfN-based nanoparticles as a novel multifunctional agent for photothermal therapy

Abstract: HfN nanoparticles exhibiting a tunable plasmonic feature in the near-IR were synthesized by laser ablation in liquids. A strong photothermal therapeutic effect yielding 100% cells death under 808 nm irradiation of nanoparticles was reported.
