Abstract: This contribution summarizes the most informative loess–palaeosol sequences (LPS) and fluvial terrace records from the late Middle Pleistocene (LMP) of northern France demonstrating the reliability of the cyclostratigraphic approach for the interpretation of pedosedimentary sequences controlled by major glacial–interglacial climatic cycles.
