“…Furthermore, the most common complications in patients that had cuff tear arthropathy were acromial or scapular spine fractures (2%) and infection (1.6%), while in patients that had primary osteoarthritis, they were nerve palsy (2.3%) and infection (2%). The complication rate reported in the meta-analysis by Nunes et al 18 was stratified by the use of either metallic increased offset or BIO and found a complication rate of 0% to 56% for metallic increased offset and 0% to 14% for BIO.
