Abstract:Expensive and complex experiments and/or simulations are required to study microbubble's dynamics considering its size and the complexity of the associated physical phenomenon of bubble-ultrasound interactions. To overcome this, the use of a macroscopic acousto-mechanical analogy is proposed. In this study, microbubble's surface modes are investigated through an experimental analogy based on coupled pendula. The data are further compared to numerical simulations. Vibration modes up to n = 22 have been observed… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
