Layer systems for optical micro-pattern generation. High efficiencies through induced resonance total absorption

Abstract: The effectivity of optical micro‐pattern generation and the quality of pattern reproduction can be increased, when the patterns are recorded in layer systems being designed by the principle of “induced resonance total absorption”. By way of example it is shown for a radiation‐sensitive material suitable for optical disc recording, recently published, that with such layer systems the energy threshold can be lowered for the write‐in of the patterns and high optical contrasts are achievable in read out.
