Abstract:The paper considers level crossing rate (LCR) and average fade du- ration (AFD) of the product of independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) Nakagami-m (NM) and double NM squared (also known as gamma-gamma) random variables (RVs). The derived statistical results are than related to the radio-frequency (RF) - free space optical (FSO), dual-hop (DH), amplify- and forward (AF) relaying system over non turbulent-induced-fading channels (nTIFCs) and turbulent-induced-fading channels (TIFCs). The obtained re- s… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
