Leader–Follower Consensus of Multiagent Systems With Time Delays Over Finite Fields

Abstract: This paper studies the leader-follower consensus of multiagent systems with time delays and switching topology over finite fields. First, an equivalent algebraic form is established for leader-follower multiagent systems with time delays over finite fields. Second, based on the algebraic form, a necessary and sufficient condition is presented for the finite-field leader-follower consensus with time delays. Third, the switching topology case is considered, and a new criterion is presented for the finite-field l… Show more

“…Based on the passivity theory, the state estimation of recurrent neural networks (MRNNs) with time-varying delays is studied in [15]. Li [16] investigated the leader-following consensus of MASs with time delays and switching topology. Zhao [17] studied the consensus problem for MASs with communication delays.…”

“…Time delay, whether occurs in the system state, the control input, or the measurement, is often inevitable in practical systems and can be a source of instability and poor performance [21,19,1,61,41,20,94,95,79,72]. The future evolution of the system state of a time delay system depends not only on its current value, but also on its past values [124,15,88,87,55,121,111,81,34,14,117,46]. Many processes have time delay characteristics in their dynamics.…”
