According to the tremendous leadership of Editor in Chief Prof. Egusa [1] and the great efforts of editorial board members and reviewers, the Journal of Prosthodontic Research (JPR) will progress to a new stage in 2023. The first issue of this year consists of 13 original articles, five review papers, a technical procedure, and a letter to the editor. They cover a wide variety of research fields, including clinical epidemiology, prosthodontics, geriatric dentistry, prosthodonticsrelated biosciences, fixed/removable prosthodontics, oral implantology, dental materials, adhesive dentistry, and digital dentistry. To identify important words and share current trends with the readers, the frequent words in the titles and abstracts of all papers in this issue are visualized as an image (Fig. 1) using the WordCloud library from the Python programming language.
