Abstract: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the gold standard technique for gallbladder diseases in both emergency and elective surgery. The incidence of the disease related to an increasingly elderly population coupled with the efficacy and safety of LC treatment resulted in an increase in the frequency of interventions without an increase in surgical mortality.
