Abstract:Time-division-duplexing (TDD) massive multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) systems will play a crucial role in the deployment of emerging mobile networks in 5G and beyond. Such systems heavily rely on the reciprocity-based channel estimation for its scalability. However, the imperfect channel reciprocity, mainly caused by radio-frequency mismatches among the base station antennas, can contaminate the estimate of the effective channel response thus become a performance-limiting factor. In practice, self-calibra… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
