Average time from case notification to NHSLA to settlement was 25.5 months (ranging from 17.8 months for oral and maxillofacial surgery to 35 months for paediatric surgery) . Settling time for cardiothoracic surgery cases are similar, 26 and 19 months for successful and unsuccessful claims, respectively.…”
