Legal and ethical requirements for research with minors.

Abstract

In this chapter, minors are defined as "children" in federal regulations, inclusive of infants, children, and adolescents who have not reached the legal age for consent (i.e., birth-17 years). When referring to a specific age period, that specific terminology is used in this chapter.
