Leiomyosarcoma of the stomach: A case report

Abstract: BACKGROUNDLeiomyosarcoma of the stomach is extremely rare, and only 13 cases have been reported in the literature. Before the advent of KIT immunohistochemistry, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) were misdiagnosed as leiomyomas and leiomyosarcomas.
