Leishmaniasis cutánea americana: Índices epidemiológicos en Valle Hermoso de la provincia Santo Domingo de Los Tsachilas

Abstract: La leishmaniasis es una enfermedad producida por la picadura de algunas especies dedípteros de la subfamilia Phlebotominae (mantablanca), infectados con parásitos del género Leishmania. En Ecuador, cerca del 97% de los casos de leishmaniasis son del tipo cutáneo, viendo el patrón mucocutáneo de baja presentación con número de casos mucocutáneos son 34, 21, 30 y 34 para los años 2018, 2019, 2020 y 2021.
