Lemierre Syndrome Complicating Deep Neck Infection and Descending Mediastinitis Secondary to Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Infection

Abstract: Lemierre syndrome (LS) is an oropharyngeal infection, followed by bacteremia, thrombosis of the internal jugular vein and subsequent hematogenic metastasis via septic emboli.
