Abstract:Severe leptospirosis has got very high mortality. Leptospirosis is overlooked in the UK and the confounders for low recognition, is partly due to low rate of incidence in this region, its protean manifestations, access to appropriate diagnostic tests, a broad differential for febrile illness or the lack of clinician’s awareness.
