Discrete element study of solid circulating and resident behaviors in an internally circulating fluidized bed

The time-averaged properties of gas-solid hydrodynamics, such as the voidage and the vertical velocity of solid phase, at several bed heights are obtained and compared with the experimental data in the previous work [25]. The quantitative and qualitative agreement between the experimental data and simulated results indicates that the current model correctly captures the fluidizing behavior of solid phase.…”
